During The Great War 1914-1918 the 15th Battalion (48th Highlanders) lost 61 Officers and 1,406 Non Commissioned Officers and Men Killed in Action, Missing in Action, Died of Wounds or Died of illness. The Fallen are buried in 206 cemeteries in Europe, The United Kingdom and Canada. The Missing are commemorated on the Menin Gate in Belgium and the Vimy Memorial in France.
